The Department of Parks and Human Services focuses on enriching the quality of life for seniors, children, and families while promoting social interactions, health awareness, and educational experiences.

The department is comprised of a Parks Division, which is responsible for managing and offering recreation opportunities, programs, and services for a diverse population; a Social Services Division with a Senior Center, which offers a schedule of weekly recreational and social activities; and the Lauderdale Lakes Alzheimer Care Center, a licensed adult day care facility which provides effective programs and services to maintain or improve quality of life for persons with Alzheimer’s disease and related memory disorders.
