Minor Home Repair Program
The Minor Home Repair Program is designed to provide assistance to low to moderate income (80% of median income) residents that are experiencing conditions in their home that pose a threat to the health, safety and welfare of the household occupants. The City of Lauderdale Lakes proposes to primarily address roof replacement, replacement of windows and replacement of doors; and secondarily all other safety and health related issues. The program provides a deferred forgivable loan to eligible households. Repayment is not a requirement provided that the eligible homeowner maintains the home as his/her primary residence for a specified period of time.
Eligible homeowners must attend a mandatory Minor Home Repair Program Workshop. This session is held to provide detailed information on the documents that must be submitted in order to qualify for the program. The Minor Home Repair Program Application and supporting documentation must be thoroughly complete. Qualified applicants are approved on a first come, first qualified basis.
AT THIS TIME, THE CITY OF LAUDERDALE LAKES IS NOT ACCEPTING MINOR HOME REPAIR PROGRAM APPLICATIONS FOR THE CURRENT YEAR.
